How Do You Play Support/Weak Side in Handball?

How Do You Play Support/Weak Side in Handball?

%26amp;

How Do You Play Power Side in Handball?|||This is if both players are both right handed or left handed. The power side player should take majority of the court, if the ball is going to the weak side players opposite the power side player is always entitled to take the shot if they choose. The power side player will usually try and kill the ball more than the weak side player, they will also try to and back up the weak side player if they get lobbed.

The role of the weak side player is less glamourous and is not as well recognised except by top players. The weak side player should always get in front of the other player on their side this is with some discretion (Ex not when it wont cause a block). When returning a serve the weak side player should get in front of the person on the side by running around the outside part of the court. If they were to run through the middle both weak side and power side player would be in the middle and no one on the outside part of the court this almost always results in losing a point. The weak side player should hit shots that will force their opponents to hit setup's (ex lobs and passing shots) and shoot only when they have a sure setup. This is so they can stay consistent while the power player does the higher risk plays. This one is a little more advanced but when your partner is stuck behind the person on their side and the ball is low in front of them the weak side player can run to the power side to pick up the shot because the weak side player can usually see it better than the power side player.

When playing doubles you must have good communication with your partner and know what they can and can not do. Switch sides when they seem to be off, but ask in a nice way, DON'T YELL at your partner this will usually make than play worse lol. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions. I am not that Han, I was given this nickname by lil Ed an "A" player in reference to a bruce lee movie. My name is John and Han''s a friend of mine played him a week before the "Rookie game" it was like 22 to 25 or something like that. He then zipped Tyrone which i would not have believed if i wasn't the reffing.|||make sure you cover the other player and dont let him/her get the ball.

As support u cover the right corner and support the power player when he /she is out of reach of the shot.

it gets more complicated when someones a lefty, but their is no specific answer to that question cause i play support side as a righty, and cover more shots than the power side player most of the time|||Well if your both right handed, in order to play support side, try to do more power serves or ace serves if you can because most likely the powerside gets more shots volleyed to him.

usually his more worn out but if your partner is a lot stronger then you and your opponent see it and pick on you more, i suggest you try to hit either power shots down the middle or try to pick the corners if you can, especially the right corner if their powerside player is agressive and covers the middle more.

other wise you hit it to the left corner(closer thus requiring less power) if they had bad communication and shares the middle. also regardless if your playing power or support, watch the shots and count them, if they are picking on your teammate non stop and his returning 3 shots already and is mid game, try to get rdy and jump in for him, because usually after 3 volleys to 1 person, they get a bit tired and start hitting weaker and weaker returns. especially when they played 1 or 2 games and if like 19-20 25 game, but make sure you discuss this with your teammate.
